Our raw diet products are pasteurized using high pressured processing (HPP). This process uses cold water under very high pressure to destroy micro-organisms that causes spoilage. This also retains the nutritional value of the frozen food while eliminating the need for chemical preservatives. HPP is different from traditional heating that destroys enzymes and lessens the nutrients naturally found in raw wholesome food.

The pressure is also applied uniformly around and throughout the food to prevent it from crushing. The food is also immediately frozen in -20ºF after being formed in heart shaped patties to reduce the formation of ice crystals that cause cell damage.

The HPP process is done in USDA inspected facilities similar to testing done for consumables fit for people. It is 100% natural and can be used on organic products.
